The Gordon's
Hi, I'm Pastor Jared. I was born in Nashua, New Hampshire. When I was young, we lived down the road from the pastor of a local church. He became friends with our family and led my sister, mom, and dad to the Lord. When I was six years old my mom worked for the church and I went into the pastor's office to talk to him and he led me to a personal relationship with the Lord.
When I was in seventh grade I went to camp at the Wilds and I surrendered to work in full-time youth ministry because I knew that was God's call on my life. I unfortunately spent the next 12 years pursuing my own dreams and pushing that commitment aside. In April of 2008, my wife and I went on a mission trip to New Orleans with our youth group to help build houses for Hurricane Katrina victims. When I got home from this trip, I finally surrendered to God's call on my life. Alyssa and I looked at Bible colleges and God brought us to Arlington Baptist College in Texas for me to pursue my degree in Youth Ministry, and then upon graduation, we headed up to South New Milford Baptist Church in May 2013.
My wife, Alyssa, was born in Albany, New York. We met because both of our families attended the same church as we were growing up in New Hampshire. We were married on August 11, 2007. We have one child, Fayth; she is almost two years old now.
